I don't particularly care, personally, how much you do or do not agree with random sentences from the Doctrine of Fascism. That's not an interesting gotcha. However, I find it informative how differently they read once separated from one's knowledge of the man who wrote them; knowledge its readers at the time obviously would not have had. I think it's experientially important to be slapped with the distance between our ideals and the selves we construct socially, what things we experience as beliefs that resolve to rules, instead.
If you'd be so kind as not to spoil the surprise, I'd appreciate it.
